So great to hear from you! Boy have those pups grown. We missed you, but Mike said you were out of data and then busy. With Christmas, kids, pups, and normal chores I just can't imagine

Except for loosing my best HRIR pullet at point of lay Saturday morning so I could not even save her genetics I am well. I griped about why it is always the important ones and never one of the multitude of layers that were not bought for breeding and are easily replaceable. I got to ride and help a couple of friends with stuff Monday and Christmas was pleasant.

@Fire Ant Farm Yes, for the kitchen.

@BantyChooks I hope your hatch is more successful than you expect.

Good morning everyone!
awww that sucks about the pullet sorry dax. You getting everything together for your trip?

I'm not on facebook - but I will let you know if I need any help.

I've whelped (is it called whelping when you do kittens??!?!) and I've had 2 homebirths with human babies, so I have a birth kit around that includes oxytoxcin, oxygen, umbilical cord tying agents (I used dental floss for kittens.) and other things for animals/humans alike.

My grandmother used to breed big dogs - I was hoping to get her whelping box - but it's so expensive to ship, I figure i'll just make my own. It's not rocket science and a little bit of wood won't break the bank.

Hey, I'm doing well thank you :)
Just been flat out! My little quail are doing okay. The two Orpington eggs that I had in the bator died at lockdown though so that was disappointing, but I've had birds die on me since I was like 4 so it is quickly forgotten.

Been celebrating the holidays with my family. Because I have a big family we celebrate 24-25th just on ourselves with immediate family, and then 26-27 is our actual Christmas Eve and Day, and then it's constant celebrations until the 1st.

Hope all of well by you! :)
I envy you that as my sister and her kids are almost six hundred miles away.

@Sally Sunshine I am working my way through the supplies. I will be going to the REI garage sale this weekend to hopefully get a few more items. I have to spread the cost out. I still need little things the only big things I still need are my cook set and a big waterproof duffel bag for the pack trip part. Then I need little items that I will fill in in the coming months and the food. I will actually only try a few of the foods before hand and I will order the food and stove fuel shipped to the campground where I am staying before I enter Yellowstone. That way I don't have to worry about the airplane. I also need to find someone who has a lock box for my handgun that is airline approved that I can borrow.

sounds like you have it all under wraps, do you need a special permit for the hand gun ?
