EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

I knew we had nomads coming in January and then again in March. I assumed the duck house would be a March project. I was wrong! :barnie So now I'm scrambling. Luckily these are the same two who built the coop last year. So I have total faith in them.

I have a couple good pruning saws, I just can't do that much by hand (takes a long time, and I also have carpal tunnel issues so that if I overdo hand sawing, I wake up with numbs hands (or can't sleep from the pain) for weeks to follow. Ask me how I know.):th But I do have them for tight spots as you indicate. the Jawsaw is safe to use and I can use that for almost all of it, and the smaller branches are breaking and snapping by hand (or by putting my foot on them and pulling up) - they have begun breaking down. I just need the chainsaw for the actual trunk parts of a couple of the trees they pushed over onto the top...

Nope - they would say no AND likely cite me for the pile being there in the first place.

Everyone - I'M NOT BURNING IT! :lau

Thanks! I needed that!

Yeah, I'll be RIIIIIIIIGHT over. :gig

Mmmmmm.... Sauerkraut. Am I wrong for suddenly thinking that sauerkraut would make a fantastic breakfast?!

(Gotta make some...)

No, the gnomes will have carried away to another dimension. You'll find it just as soon as you don't need it any more.

:lau

OK, I gotta run. :frow

Yum, sauerkraut! I could eat that everyday. Heck, I have a big plate full in front of me lol

I'm trying to find plans for a muscovy house, but they really just don't have a lot of needs?

We're putting them at the pond, which is snake central. I'm so scared of finding cottonmouths in the nest box.

My muscovies go in the chicken coop with the chickens and have a kiddie pool to swim in when they feel the need, though more often than not, they prefer wandering through the yard to swimming. My coop is a few feet off the ground and they have no issues climbing the ramp up and down to get in.

I have some, but they don't go to the pond. It's like 1/4 mile from the farm.

Maybe some pond guineas are in order.

That'd be awesome. I love guineas.
