EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Quote: we believe so, was six days after shots, had high fever and weak hind quarters, noticed rash on belly thought was from fever, started prednisone and cephlexin but not high dosage, by day three she was paralyzed, after day six she was on high pred dosage and doxy and she started to crawl and move her legs, she got rashes and oozing ears really bad and was really laid back one day so we upped pred again and switched back to cephlexiun, I did notice all this before her snout started showing blistering signs. Today she is walking better but her glands are huge she has huge knuckles in her legs, praying the pred works and kicks this out, I am told it could be a long road ahead for her, poor thing is only nine weeks tomorrow.

Fire I asked because all the reading I have done on the strangles says your breed tends to be one that is effected in more cases.

And also so hard when you can't figure out what to do to make it better. Take care of yourself as best you can through this as well.

I feel you! Sturgis reacts that way to K9 Advantix! The vet actually said it was an injury from jumping when the reaction began. By month three, it was as bad as what you described. I washed him with Dawn a few times in a row. He showed improvement by the next day. No more Advantix, no more nightmare!
I know I'm lucky it was so simple.

That one lone hatched chick is all fluffy, dry, and bored. Leaving him in there because all others but one are pipped, but he's like, "Dudes, come ON, HATCH already!!!!!"

I don't want to open the 'bator, of course - it'd be like
