Fire I asked because all the reading I have done on the strangles says your breed tends to be one that is effected in more cases.

I feel you! Sturgis reacts that way to K9 Advantix! The vet actually said it was an injury from jumping when the reaction began. By month three, it was as bad as what you described. I washed him with Dawn a few times in a row. He showed improvement by the next day. No more Advantix, no more nightmare!
I know I'm lucky it was so simple.

I am so sorry. There's a lot fo people who'd have just put the puppy down, too and not bothered. It's got a special dog-mommy in you.
