EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

It was your failure to send me Toad eggs preemptively. Shame. Shame on your cow.

If I sent my mom to go get them from you, and then have her send them to me, does that count as local? lol

To be totally honest. I am not sure how they will do in your heat.

Toads can weather the cold with no problems, but the heat seems to really be hard on them. They are so huge you might need an ice room for them.

You really need one with a thermostat or a thermostat plug in on it. I know they have them at Amazon, but they are more than the whole heater I got at Wally's world. I thought I had one ,but mine is on at 35 degrees and off at 45 degrees. I use it to save Cuddles Comb from being damaged too much.

I've finally broken down and provided a bit of heat on a couple roosters when it drops to zero and below.

They make some that come on at other temperatures as well.

Until the water system is fully automated, I'm using both the on at 35 and the on at 20 thermocubes. In a colder winter, I may need another heat source and use the on at 0° F one.

I am thinking of using the same I use on his comb on water, but the cold here makes that impractical.

I am also looking at one quart heated dog bowls for next year. BUT protecting my show birds combs is my main concern.
