I end up cutting mine up before I freeze them, otherwise it would go to waste also.

There is only so much 2 people can eat...

Love the vegan part. People still don't believe me that chickens eat mice.

Are the parents all pearl?

I don't know who the parents are, I got the eggs at the sale barn last month for a steal of a deal, 18 eggs for $6. This month they went for no less then $7 and up to $10 a dozen.

My BG Wisteriea, Killed a Snake once and was running all around the yard with everyone chasing her.Poor Snake was still half alive.....well, that is before she ate its head.

It might be the people around here, but so many of them look at me with horror in their eyes when I tell them my chickens eat meat. like table scraps, mice chipmunks, bugs and whatever they can find to eat..



Then it gets worse when I tell them I do not buy organic feed for them... Their chickens, they will live 4-5 years if something doesn't eat them.



I suppose I should not ever mention how on camp day they hang around under our feet waiting for pieces of their friends to fall on the ground so they can swallow their buddys.

I AM SO CONFUSED. My house has "some" power - ot enough to make our well fill up, not enough to turn my desktop on, turn lights on, or keep my incubator's temp on....

It has enough to charge my phone, have my wifi/router up, my laptop, and like a tiny fan light and our fridge. Our AC has enough juice to show that it's on, and the temp, but not enough juice to turn it on.

I know I have a couple 5 year olds, but they are just freeloaders now. If I had any business sense I would make them into an animal by-product. Instead I feed their sorry butts, day in and day out. The one has taken to sleeping in a nest box. I do not even have the heart to kick her out of the box.

But I counseled her on what bad manners it was to spend a night in the nest box, when she never lays eggs anymore. She even sits in it during the day. BUT its Bert's great Grandma and I know he would be upset at me if I did her in.

Do you have a bad buss? That sounds like you are only getting juice on one side, like the lags are loose. Or if you have an old house the fuse on one side is blown..

Our neighbor down the street was outside with flashlights, checking their power outside... so i don't think it's just us. ^.^
