That was Saturday guys don't panic, I just don't want to bother her much, and since I skipped a day and a half, I just didn't know if Mike had updated.

I'm just in a pickle. I set up a pen with my blue-egg layers, EEs and a legbar, but I'm getting g a brown egg in there. It's either the EE or the legbar, and both are troubling. I'm getting a big blue egg from the layer coop, but no idea who is laying it. Lots of EEs over there.

It was just a fun project, but I really hate it when my plans don't work.

I just want blue eggs. I have an Ameraucana not laying or it is green, a green laying CL, and a Sapphire whose eggs are just sort of tinted white.

I think of it as weights too as I had one get trampled part in it then it tipped and several drowned or died of cold? I am not sure since I was not there, I just saw the results,

ohh boy.. yeah I can see that happening. Especially with a lot of crazy chicks together. Thanks for mentioning it. I actually have to get a brooder together before Easter, have to address how to keep water upright. Never had a permanent brooder before, just big cardboard boxes in the house and 4x8' plywood in the garage. Going to be using one of those plastic 275gal totes on a pallet. Something light that I can store outside when not in use.

I would look at the EE's first. I have 40 ish legbars and have had more and never had a brown egg from one. I have some EE that lay a brown egg. But I mess with their genetics all the time to see the shades I can get.

I was getting tons of blue eggs last year but was desperate for green. Sold lots of birds, now I have tons of green eggs and I want blue!

I have green and blue eggs pretty equally... I get a pretty moss egg from the OE, and my EE cross gives me the bluest blue I've ever seen. The hatchery EEs give me somewhere in the middle.
