Very nice Joey! Glad you were able to get some very nice birds! Good luck with the hatch.
The Flat Rock I was talking about is the registered herd name with American Dairy Goat Association, not a town. I hope the class went well.

That is the Brinsea Octagon Advanced, it has a fan.
When I hatched them, I was told to run the humidity dry but not lower than 18%, well what Sally said. Doesn't help you this late into the hatch though. Good luck!40 Black copper Marans are on day 22. I have one chick and 2 external pips that quit. I held the humidity at 35-40 and the temp held well at 99.5 never dropping under 99 or going over 100. At lockdown I raised the humidity to 65 with a couple spikes to 70. I am using a foam gator with a fan. Any suggestions...hard to reframe from assisting at this point. I did not candle because it was to hard to see in the dark eggs.
'Y'all ain't gonna believe this. I'll be back online on Tuesday. It's been a heck of a day!
Banti sweets! When is the last day to set eggs for the EHAL?Hi Mike mike mike mike

I wondered about the science behind this, not much, sounds like they intend to run actual experiments, do you know if they ever did.

Quote: I know, I have three Serama eggs from today and can see what I get tomorrow. Then decide to hatch to not.
Quote: Thanks Pensmaster. How are things out west?
Quote: I did. I don't remember the exact wording they used but it was basically a heat stroke that got them. It was about 2 years ago when it happened, so I can't remember the exact temps, but it was getting pretty hot early day around that time. I was running out to the quarantine pens several times a day to make sure they had plenty of water and that it wasn't getting too hot.
Day 22 black copper marans 3 for 40. Eggs were not shipped, but did travel 3 hrs. They are very clean eggs. Thinking they might have been dry wiped and not washed. Foam incubator ran 35-40 humidity. 40 up to 50 first day of lock down. Then had a pip and raised humidity to 65 with spike up to 70. Temp was 99.5 for the duration. No sticky chicks. So far it has been suggested marans are hard to hatch with the thick shell. My temp might have been a tad low making for a late hatch. The eggs might have been washed.
