Bubba needs a haircut so bad!

I'm losing my marbles here, Sally did I say good morning to you yet? If so, good morning again anyway cos I can't remember. :frow

Ok, so to sum it up duluthraphie suggested to nix the idea of the inverter due to fluctuating currents.
Ok, got that, I will not chance it and just wrap those eggs really really well inside a cooler.
I will also take the advice to wait till day 10 or 14(I think I will say Day 14-15)

Ok, so anyone want to explain why the inverters for your car would possibly fry the eggs?
I really don't understand electrical currents.
So I went out and bought a inverter to plug into cigarette lighter(or now known as USB/outlet charger)
My kids looked at me like I was crazy when I called it the cigarette lighter!
Anyway, I asked around, did some research, and my Brinsea octagon eco is only supposed to use about 40watt, and this inverter is supposed to be able to handle much, much more than that.
So what gives? Hmm,
I just don't understand the point of the silly thing that I had such hopes in, if it is going to either fry my incubator or my eggs!
Anyone ever used one of these things for your car?

i have but not for an incubator, he also said it was when he had a styro plugged into it
it is probably the actual electrical current and how it varies, like it'll get weak but when the cars alternator kicks in it will boost the power which may be too much for it to handle
it is going to be a problem with the thermostat and inverter and power source working in harmony
you would need to keep a very close eye on the temps, thats all

I have no idea why it happened, I just know it did. I will never do it again. It could be a faulty alternator, fluctuating current, a bad invertor.

All I know is what happened and that if I haul them for hours in just a shipping crate they do fine. I tried to do it better.. It was not.

I guess, if I was you I would not take a chance on it. We know they can handle cold for a fairly long period.

It could be the foamy that screwed up, even though it worked fine once i plugged it into an outlet again.

I gave up trying to figure out why some things work and some don't 40 years ago, now they either do or don't and I don't care why.....
