@DwayneNLiz . The fan came out of the boys hockey table they had broken. It was made of cheap pressboard (aka beaver puke) .
that stinks
hmmmmm, thanks

No, i put a bowl in which has a damp clothe in it. It is at 75% now, but it was at about 66% A while. Though she isnt really going around yet, she just has a patch of cracking. though it had made many cracks it had not outside air. I made a tiny hole after i brought into the humid and hot bathroom. Seems to be fine.
zipping should be no more than 90m, humidity looks fine, try not to let it get over 80% unless there is a 'ling drying

Hmm interesting, based on the 1 year/molt standard then the majority of those would be considered pullet eggs. I wasn't sure of the timeframe for when a pullet was a hen.

The scratch will not be continued(I had already decided I was done with it), and the BOSS is next on the chopping block(they seem to enjoy it but waste way too much of it. I have a 3 tube PVC bulk feeder and all the BOSS winds up in a pile in front of the feeder). They eat it but seriously about 2-3 days after I fill it theres a huge pile in front of the feeder that disappears at the same rate as the flock raiser.
Boss is good for added protein (about 23%)
and fat 49% fat in BOSS

The post office will not accept chicks on a Saturday, the want them early in the week so they can make their destination without traveling over a weekend. If you go to the USPS site they lay it out really clearly. A Thursday for Saturday would be doubtful the way I read it.
i get that, too bad though but today is wednesday still
LOL

My 5 year old is awesome. She will round up all the chickens & get them into the run sometimes, even the English Orpington that's almost as big as a turkey. She has no fear. She is gonna be a vet someday or a farmer. :) If I have to give the chicken medicine or something, she is the one who will hold it for me.

My 10 year old, on the other hand, just lets the chicken go & says, "I couldn't hold it; it wanted to get down!" He is very tender-hearted, lol.
LOL, my daughter was afraid of only one of our birds but because she used to tease itm and one day it got mad and pecked her, he was a tiny D'anver roo <1lb

my daughter has been saying she wants to be a vet for a couple years and loves watching all the surgeries and stuff on tv (Dr Pol is er favorite), she has even asked our local vet if she can come watch sometime

I am so excited, I found someone to board a cockerel for me this Summer! So I'll be able to hatch my own eggs for the first time in the Fall! Now I have to decide which cockerel to keep....For breeding purposes I probably should keep the chocolate one, since I have 2 black hens and a splash. But I really like the personality of the Jubilee boy. If my other Jubilee chick ends up being a pullet I think I will keep them as a pair.
fun!! i like the jubilee colors but as far as your pullets and breeding the chocolate does sound like the better choice

I'm back from lunch with kajira and her littlest girl and oldest boy - Red Lobster (love that clam chowder). I needed a quick nap after that. Now heading out to get some more work done...
