I wanted to share a chickie from one of the two polish eggs my kids hatched. Some might remember that mom is a white polish and dad Welsummer. Here it is.. anyone want to guess the sex?

No idea on sex for sure... But such a beautiful bird must be a rooster.... No hen could look that great!

Well I have two that are identical. It would make life easier if they were both girls.. they hang out with a little black rooster and he's definitely in charge. Either way, they are cool.

No I missed him. Awesome
My LF Dark Cornish are doing well albeit slow for growth. My thought was to cross NN with them but the NN I purchased were so small I removed them. I may still try if I can find a good sized NN

You could try getting the S&Gs - once we got past the shipping fiasco, they have been great so far, large and friendly.

I think the only 'true' ameraucana is clean legged
All Ameraucanas should be clean legged - well I see Liz posted while I am typing,
but I agree.
Yep, shouldn't have feathers on the legs.

Oh, I should have done my homework - for some reason I thought they were feather-legged. (Then again, we determined that my extra ameraucana chick with feathered legs - Goodwin - was in the end not really pure.) That makes things a lot easier - Ameraucanas, here I come!!!! (Anyone know of a good source for large ones?)

(Just taking a break for the kitchen for some muesli...)

Ok so I won the bid on the Bantam Dark Cornish and to fill the incubator I also bought their NN they look a lot like the Alohas however they have quite a mix in with them. :fl
If they don't work out I'll be trying the S&G or time some chicks from them on or about the time these hatch. Assuming they hatch.
