EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

A bit on the cool side for late August, but feels good after what it has been. 60's here now.

Well we enjoyed a week of low 90's now it's climbing back up. Weekend 102
Today 98
64 degrees with 81% humidity right now, the humidity thing can quit already. Usually it's around 30% average

Good morning everyone

Interesting, never would have thought to use it on chickens.

I bought wasp poison aerosol spray the other day at TSC. When checking out he asked my birthday, I asked why. He said people sniff anything aerosol, I'm like that's nuts, this is for killing things.
We were watching a re-run episode of "Alaska-The Last Frontier" last , & Axe (sp.) Lee was burning a hornets' nest in the roof of the chicken house, with a propane torch. Had I not already seen it once, I'd have thought the chicken house was going up in flames.

I have. Even the youngest has pitched in and carries shingles away. He's too cute. :love

Awwwww

Hello Pensmaster! I don't know how you take the triple digit heat. It's up to 54*F with 91% humidity, supposed to get rain sometime today.

Hi, Peter :frow

Sounds risky. I have those ground yellow jacket nests out at the lake cottage. My neighbor found the one whole when cutting the grass, I found the second by being close to it and getting stung on the calf. It started out as a little round red spot, by the next day mid calf to down around the ankle is swollen. Hopefully I'll make it out there today and take care of any remaining little b*stards.

Good morning Abi
