EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

ok so I have done reading for 4 nights waiting on the 7 day candling of the 25 eggs in our incubator. I'm still a little confused on things such as the mysterious humidity. I am dealing with shipped eggs that I didn't candle till 3 days. at 3 days the air sacks on the silkie eggs were attached so I started turning then. The size was not to far off from the 7 day candling pics on pg 1. slightly smaller on most and 2 had very small air sacks.

Am I thinking right that we are running between 35-40% again and if air sacks are larger than they should be tomorrow night. then to retard air sack I should run a little higher humidity? I do know that the eggs were at least a week old when I got them. so I would have enlarged air sacks cause of age.
I did manage to find a recommendation in all those links that talked about turning. what I understood was set them to turn once a hour. hows that compare to what everyone else is doing?

Your humidity plan sounds good to me. :thumbsup

Turn an odd number of times per day. Three is the bare minimum, five or even more is better. It sounds like you have an auto turner so that's fine.

Lol! I like it dark. Until I'm home alone. . then I keep a light on in my hall in case I get up in the night. But I can't see that light from my room or I wouldn't be able to sleep. I don't even like bright alarm clocks. . I had one with blue light and it drove me crazy. I got rid of it.
I have led nightlights that come on at dusk. <<(I just wrote duck ) If we have lights on the bugs come in. But in during the winter I had the kitchen light shining in my face and it doesn't bother me at all...lol. Couldn't do that when I was younger. o_O

You did wish her dead once. . . just saying.

No, ma'am! She said it multiple times!
Reminds me of my husband on FB. I had to leave because he actually called himself a widower, and constantly posts about his dead wife or how he's going to kill me.

I turn mine over at night.

 This again?

City slickers don't forget death threats. . . ;)

How can he kill you if your already dead ? Are you a zombie?

So it appears :he
Um, I'm not really sure what went on because this was before I was here...but this is uncomfortable. Banty teases all the time...I should know...lol.:p If she teases just 42kmoig.gif her back. :)

But oh gosh MC, if you're husband does that to you and he's serious, that's not good for you.:hugs Far be it from me to tell you how to live your life...but I'm pretty certain everyone here cares about you and your well being. And they especially seem to like your coffee. :) :hugs
