Good morning everyone!

Some reason it's raining, they told me no rain for a few days, they also told me we wouldn't be below freezing for a few days. They lied about that too.

Honeybee came early! Went into labor at 4AM yesterday morning and had him out by 1:30PM. He's 41cm and 3.27 kg. No epidural, no pain meds, and I was even able to pull him out myself once the shoulders came out. Progression was way too fast for very many interventions!

Good morning! Well it rained last night, but is going up to 50 and sunny today! Yay!
All the darn squirrels are messing with my chickens
. I chase them out the yard screaming like a lunatic. Guess I need to look at some live traps, or death traps!! ugh

I am behind. But I had a very nice time at my sis's B-day party.
I also got a dozen bags of feed ordered. They don't stock much chick starter at this time of the year up here.

how beautiful!!! and amazing Hippie!!! great news, induction isnt doing anything for us here, nothing changed, giving another pill in the cervix and trying again now. oh well sometimes it works sometimes it dont I guess!

Collars and horns are a deadly combination. I have witnessed a smaller doe being dragged and strangled awhile back. I stopped using collars. I will use a harness during hoof trimming. But it is removed right after. Goats have a pecking order just like chickens. The alpha nanny is a brute. When my alpha passed away last year, another took her place. She leads the herd and they follow her lead. Alpha's are the worst for collar hooking.

Be sure to get the swimming pool its extra but works well. 19 so far. Chasing them makes it more fun for them.
