EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

So tired. First got sick with a breast infection (that I'm still trying to overcome) which shot my supply to all heck. Then Honeybee had to be rushed to the hospital for excessive vomiting while we were supplementing with formula. Turns out he's got infant lactose intolerance and needs special formula. It's been a rough week, pray for me.

ETA: I just thank god that he's been a strong little man. And that I'm at least not having to deal with the heartbreak my mom had to go through when I was sick in the hospital at only two days old with what was suspected to be blood poisoning (they never did figure out what it was or what treatment helped it.)

Thank you Benni! Showering after another feeding made me feel a lot better, and he's sleeping soundly while I get some chores done and wait for the midwife to show up and look at me and see what's going on. I'm kicking myself for not calling her earlier but lessons learned. Today is a new day and a new chance for things to be better than before.

I can bet this debate on the em dash is driving you slightly insane -- I know it is me. I am unable to type an em dash, I use a keyboard without a numeric keyboard and firefox as my browser. I found an add on-- but it is outdated and will not work on my computer.

Personally--notice I need to use 2 dashes and pretend they are an em dash-- I think people that advocate the em dash are too lazy to use proper punctuation. Why not use the comma or colon or semis colon of several commas,,,,,,unless you don;t know what to use and want to use the em dash to cover you inability to use real creative punctuation. Heck,,,,,,,I have gotten through all my years without really needing a em dash,,,,,,,,,also I am not artistic so it i hard for me to tell the difference in the length of the different dashes so I just consider them all "dashes".........But then I am smarter than the normal em dash advocate.....:gig:gig:gig:gig:gig:gig:gig:gig:gig:gig:gig:gig

BTW there is a 5:1 chance someone living on the shores of the arctic ocean in the VWN will have a near coronary event when reading this......

:tongue

Thanks.

I feed mine quite a few scraps. They got a whole box of day old bread the other day.

Poor birds had to eat gluten free bread. :lau

:mad::he:he:he:mad:
It started crow 5:50 AM.
Stupid schnitzel in potential ! In the only day that I can sleep late it started. ....

That stinks, sorry Benny.

Sorry to hear that. I hope your infection is cleared up quickly. Many people with lactose intolerance are fine with goat milk.
