I have 20 something female birds and am getting an average of 4--5 every day.
Oh, I don't know about that. I'd say 40 years was plenty enough time. I had both long-haired & short-haired dogs. Dogs are like horses; if they stay outside they grow longer, thicker coats for protection from the cold.Given enough time, you would have had one that couldn’t take it. The hunters that have a camp next door breed beagles. One guy was disgusted by Sturgis’s food allergy. Then he had a pup with allergies.

When I had my 1st Irish Setter, Dad helped me build an insulated dog box up off the ground for her to whelp her pups in. One morning in late November, after the coldest night of the season to that point, we found her & her litter of warm dry pups under the box in the nest she'd dug out on the ground, in the gravel.
That is what I have heard.Yes. Supposedly. I haven't had much experience with them... mainly just BB toms, and they were rather cranky.
I am getting around five from a twenty six of age hens.I have 20 something female birds and am getting an average of 4--5 every day.
Have fun. I hope you see a big one. Are you sure you are not just hiding out thereWell, p-opples, I'm going out to make sure the anti-freeze is topped off in the jitney, then on to the preheated blind for some deer hunting. BBL, when I get bored of watching birds & squirrels & zero deer.
