MC, there's a really really great recipe for sourdough apple almond raisin bread here:

It won't use tons of apples up, but since you have them (and for this recipe the bruised ones are totally fine). It is one of those more long-type recipes (multiple risings, etc.), but SOOOOOOOO delicious! (No, I didn't have orange blossom water, and it was still amazing).

I never pulled a trigger last year; passed on a bunch, though. The 1st one this year was no giant, but she was respectable. This latest one shrunk before I could get to him; he looked larger @ 50 yds than he really was. Actually, I thought it was a young doe, which is what I wanted, but when I got up close I recognized it as one of the twin buttonbucks I've been passing up since September.
