We're in the middle of a huge freeze right now. Birds are doing great but I did slip and hurt myself today going out to feed them. Having only three now has made food costs lower and requires less upkeep though which is nice. Waiting until we're in the new house to have more than four again.

I sure wanted to believe in d e.
I bought a bag as soon as I heard about it about a year ago. But I was interested in killing bugs with it. Ants and fleas mostly. I never did understand how people got the idea that eating it or feeding it to animals would do anything though. Everything I have read says that it is useless when exposed to moisture. . so doesn't it stand to reason that it would be useless to ingest?
I have tried it a few times and saw for myself that it is useless. Except one thing. It filled up a crack in my base board where ants were coming in and now they can't get in there.
