EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

We have Fox Squirrels S.W. of here in Citrus county- big as cats. They are something exciting to see. Kind of funny how they are so geographically separated from the run of the mill tree rats we have here in Marion county.
Been POURING rain since sunrise. Hard to accomplish anything this morning. Except getting wet successfully.
A buddy of mine, who hunts them frequently, swears that they can distinguish orange, which is required for hunting. Makes for tough hunting. He'll take off the orange & hang it on a nearby branch, or across a downed tree. Kinda negates the purpose of having it.

Duckling is sleeping on the floor of the sun room. I had a long night on the futon, but she’s slept through all kinds of noises and disturbances. I can’t wait to take her outside to sleep! I can’t find my tent (I found the bag and rain guard though), but we can sleep on a tarp in the screen tent. I don’t need any cats snuggling up with us overnight. Though I can’t decide which would be worse. Skunks or actual cats from next door.

Did that thunderstorm reach you? It hit here. Power went out around 8:30, when it just started, pretty windy.

The feet are about 18” off the ground. :D She only asked me to put the tire swing vertical again.
