EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

We had the heat of summer but the smoke was a sunscreen of sorts. Plants aren’t acting right. Hard to explain and maybe it’s just mine. Fall has already hit here. Unseasonably cooler here now, all in all a weird summer.

Fall hasn't hit here, upper 80's into the 90's for the next few days.

I think a lot of us feel like summer never happened. Maybe we’ll have an Indian summer to make up for the uncooperative weather.
I'm pretty sure we got your summer. It's been miserable here, and I have never been gladder to see fall.

:tongue I'll have you know it hit 90* or even 91* at least four times, and stayed in high 80's for more than that. I have never seen a summer this bad, ever. Thank goodness it's over.
I have to admit it; that sounds a bit on the warmish side for Canada.

A bit? A bit? It had me researching one way tickets to the North Pole! Last summer we had about 7 days total of weather 80* or above. This summer it was probably more than a month. If I wanted that nonsense, I'd move to Michigan.

I guess that's hot enough for your sled team to be sticking to the sidewalks, if you had sidewalks, instead of Polar bear trails.

The ducks were begging for me to shave them, and the puddles were hot enough to be at a rolling boil. I'm pretty sure the sled team crawled away to die, I haven't seen them since the week I lost that rooster to heat stroke.

They probably dug in enough to get to cooler dirt, like under the house
