Interesting never thought of that. Although it’s always dry here and if it is wet I don’t waste the ash in the coop.

@sumi @TwoCrows is there a way to make images smaller that had been uploaded on the old site? I can not do it. or do I have to download each one resize and reload? thanks for the help

I hate to admit, but I know nothing about resizing photos.

Ever tried burl, like pipes are made from?

Every chance I get I grab burl. So cool. Make salt and pepper shakers out of a very large oak burl I found. Actually traded pens for it from the owner and those that helped me trailer the thing home.

Well, I set a dog pan of it inside a plastic bone-dry dog house under the one coop, where it hasn't been wet in the 6+ months it's been there, so we'll see how well it works. Nothing beats a try but a failure, & the price is right. Even better than free pallets; don't have to go get it.

Aww I want to incubate quail eggs! You’ve inspired me to incubate quail eggs this spring

I have hatched quail but always for friends.... I have such a bad addiction that several friends have discovered if they show up at my place with eggs I will hatch them...... and give them the babies. lol this last batch of quail we ended up with 27ish ??/ out of 43 eggs 11 were non starters and we went into lockdown with 31.... all in all I felt it went really well... quail seem to Pop like popcorn, nothing going on then you look in the bator and Poof there are like a million of em running around!
