That is probably about it but even then it won't look that abnormal until the animal has had it for years.
Having lived through the "mad cow" era and seen how it devastates young and old, I would not want to eat any species known to be at risk. Prions are nasty.
Since one deer here in MD, out in Allegheny Co, showed up with CWD several years ago (the only recorded one to date), it's now a law that any deer in that county must be checked in in that county, the head must be turned over to the facility that tests the brain for signs of CWD, the hide can't be taken out-of-county, & the carcass must be processed in-county by a licensed commercial facility; the hunter can't process his own deer any longer.

I hunted Allegheny Co. years ago, prior to '81; I won't return...commercial processing puts the cost of venison into the rediculous catagory in my book.

Sheep tend to have them more then other. The MCD statred with British business man using sheep's industry leftovers for making meat flakes as a protein rich sources fo the cow feed industry. And that included the central nerves system and the spinal cord, the maine parts that prisons are found.
Lybian origin Jewish, like me, have the CJD more in the genetic form. So if I start to talk nonsense more then the usual send me to a brain check!
If you go for the same brain check done for CWD you'll have to get dead first.

Some guys are working on the house next door, and got a look at Steven’s spurs. They thought he could beat a fighting cock, and were remembering a breeder fondly.
My hens aren’t torn up, and Steven isn’t aggressive. So is there a problem with his long spurs?

A few hours ago, I ended up with a beagle. His brother was Uh Oh, so this is Maaco*. He’s 2, AKC, and hasn’t peed in the house yet.

I have to get him a new collar (I can’t find my big dog supplies), so I’m going with a hunting supply company. May as well get the good kind of collar with a nameplate. No jangling, and it’s cheaper than the pet companies.
Benny,
MAACO Collision Repair & Auto Painting is an American franchisor of auto painting and collision repair shops based in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was founded in 1972 by Anthony A. Martino and Daniel I. Rhode.
The television commercial says, “Uh oh! Better get Maaco!”
