EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

I have had those two boys in a stall since last Sunday so little over a week and I was just brave enough to put them outside today it was supposed to be quite warm it's sort of warm but the wind is cool. They really needed some fresh air and sunlight though. And itsb been two days since I've had any diarrhea
:duc Love autocorrect.

She was dehydrated, and hiding in the coop. I have no idea what was wrong, but she was wormed (Duckling did that part!), and I eventually tube fed her, and gave her antibiotics.

She gave Safe-Guard while I held Cyndi

“No, Maaco! It’s my job as nurse to hold the patient!”

She really made it so much easier.
She even rescued me during Cyndi’s soak. I had to go to the bathroom, and change Cyndi’s bedding.

Funny, that's what happened with my boys they got worms. I wormed them several weeks ago and then we had that abrupt weather change. Going from the fifties to 15 they got sick and had them on antibiotics. After they finished that series I gave probiotics and they got thin but I wasn't sure if it was just cuz they've been so sick. On the first the first of them started spewing poop and I knew I was in trouble. I pulled the two boys and had to give electrolytes and vitamins and red cell and lots of wormer. It was a weird time of year to be fighting barberpole especially this bad. The over use of wormers has made it difficult they're getting very resistant to everything. I'm careful and I try to keep my herd as closed as I can.

I have not wormed in over a year. I did worm the dog too recently.
This crazy weather does make it hard to be sure what to watch out for. Too cold for anything one week, and in the sixties the next.

... it was an accident. I accidentally asked if she wanted to open something. I feel bad about her being sick. She picked the same gift I did with her eyes covered and uncovered.
