EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

I have no professional opinion on this, but they look really nice I wouldn't have that marched artistic talent if I followed a pattern and had great tools. You could earn good money tooling leather. Almost a lost art here.
I tried selling tooled leather goods; great way to starve! Back in the 70's I'd tool fancy belts. By the time I paid for the leather & what I figured my time & talent were worth, I'd have had to charge $45-$50 for the finished product. Very few people around these parts willing or able to spend that kind of money just to keep their britches from falling down.

You need to do market reaserch before starting a new business , I don't intend to sell it's just for fun.

So did you end up getting a deer this year?
Two, actually. Had to throw the first one away. She'd been shot before, & the wound was infected; not worth taking a chance with. Second was a nice 8pt. about 200# live weight.
I'd take another one, given the opportunity; wouldn't mind some breakfast sausage & brats.

Exactly, I HAVE to learn constantly if not I feel That I am degenerating.
you are smart to keep using your brain. I wish I had done more challenging things regularly I am finding now that I'm kind of lazy intellectually. kind of and I don't want to work that hard thing. Now I have to force myself.

same type of thing with my custom horse bonnets, unless I can get into a niche market with people with money it was not worth it the time it took me to do them plus materials never worked out.

That sounds good, but I kind of have a hankering for some good butterfly steaks.

You have to! Our brain is extremely lazy! The most satisfying status from its point of view is beeing Overflowing with sugar and not thinking about anything! You must not fall on this slippery slope of stagnation!

Slippery indeed. I have found a distinct disinclination to take the time to figure something out verses just finding the answer. Very bad indeed.

We got my son a high end hand made chef's knife for Christmas last year. It was about $200. Add the leather sheath and big leather strop and diamond dust and that added another $150. Ouch.
