Got to give you credit, Mel; you're a ton more patient & tolerant than I am.

I've been praying a lot. Patience is not my virtue but kindness is so I am trying to practice both a little more. It is out of my control sowhy let it get to me-right!

Yeah, the duck section isn't as complete. Your humidity def needs to come down tho.... Like Peter said, rice in the channels works.

I placed a sock with rice in the 'bater last night, haven't noticed a difference. I will pour it into the channels! What should my goal humidity be? I obviously got bad info when I started this journey (Not from BYC)

yes there's not a vent I can open on this, it just has some small build in holes for circulation. This is the link to the one I have.

There was a rooster (not mine) wandering around under Duckling's window. She is up early, so I don't know anymore! LOL!
I hope to put some stuff into the garage for the winter. I might take another bag of trash allllllllllll the way out to the road before the truck comes. Duckling has Lamb Chop and Play-Doh planned.

yesterday I stripped the bark off another black locust post, I have the hole dug, so planting the post and starting on another hole

thinking about chickens and diet as I age, seems easy to exist on eggs like the old lady I read about in Italy, Daxi (I think it was her)mentioned buying cooked chicken and just raising laying chickens..............

Eating too many eggs is not good for the marriage.

HELP!!! never had a chick hatch upside down!!! What do I do? Is it ok?

Honestly, it is not a death sentence. Once it has been externally pipped for 24 hours, help it out.
If you are around, you can keep an eye on it to check for distress before that.

It's so warm outside! Duckling and I put away summer stuff outside. Well, I put it away while she pulled it out to play with it.
Now the summer clothes are away inside, the summer toys are away outside. Acorns are collected, mud tracked through the house. It's an awesome day with my adorable Duckling!

No since I had it set to 55 it was staying in that 55-60 range. Would only go off about once a week to add a little more water.

yes I've wiped it all out as best and quickly as I could. I now have rice in the channels. Hope that will do the trick when it comes to drying them out a little. It is currently at 52%
