It's colder here, but we're usually about a day behind you weather wise.

The dog won’t come in, and the birds are venturing out some too. One duck has a little frostbite, it doesn’t look bad though. It’s the Muscovy, she often roosts with the chickens, so she can be on a 4” board off the floor if she wants.
Meanwhile, the chickens are roosting on a half inch divider wall. I guess their feet are fine. I’d hope that they would have enough sense to roost on the board if they had cold tootsies.

We're supposed to head to positive numbers today, no above freezing until Saturday.

they're calling for 64 the high on Saturday here. That's warmer than I keep my house during the day

I aim for the fire to make my house about 60 in the evening when I'm there in the house. The fires lit in the morning and the thermostat is set at 55 to keep the house from dropping below that.
