started reworking the gardens today, setting up for drip style irrigation, 2 raised bed so far in the back section, looking at the calendar for the chicks 28 oct is lock down but may do it early, take out the roller rack an sit them on the screen, the 14 in the egg box are due 2 days after the bator ones, gotta learn how things work even at over 60

@Beer can. Was it you yesterday that said you went to a broker to figure out what you needed to do to get a loan. Is this something I need to be doing?

IDK? I've only got a mortgage on this one house, long process, sure ain't like buying a car. I've bought a couple other chuncks of land and put trailers on them. First I bought with cash. Second with me DW with us both with small personal loans and credit cards for it all, paid off within a couple yrs.
When we first wanted to buy this house I think we just got lucky that the old women at the mortgage company was willing to help us out and not stick us with a sale, we wanted to buy, and she said we would be approved but really went on about our credit and the interest rates and how much we would be better off if we waited. Tips on improving credit. We probably would have been stuck in one of those variable interest rates that skyrocket after a few yrs and been part of the housing market crash that put this country into a heap. I'm friends with someone that had one of those mortgages, low payments first few yrs then doubled, he like many others let it go, couldn't afford it.
We ended up with a 4.9% fixed for 30yrs, even at that rate we would end up paying in interest about the same as the cost of the house, plan on paying off way much sooner. Also got lucky that yr they offered a no strings attached $8,000 tax credit for buying :-D the yr before it was a $7,500 interest free loan to be paid back after so many yrs.
The govt. was trying to spark the market, doubt it helped, either you could have afforded to buy or not. IMHO a waste of taxpayers $$ we would have bought anyway, but sure was happy we got it :-D

And, we had success!! I cut it, no bleeding I seperated him from the egg, and she seems VERY happy to be detached. i also looked inside the egg, and it looks like almost non of the yolk had been absorbed.

I'm going to have to fluff her up and get her into the brooder to eat food/water ASAP.

Gonna give her a little bit of a break now that she's detached before putting her in there with the other chicks so she doesn't get trampled.

When I was a kid my mom wouldn't let us play outside barefooted because she said we'd get worms from the cats.

Mince up a couple heads of garlic and wash it down with a liter of Jim Beam, clean you right out Lol! :-D

I really do have a dilemma!
I hated my Kirby ten years ago. I hate it more now. Lots of reasons.
I keep seeing infomercials, but one stands out. The Bissel Pet Hair Eraser.
My hair (and the dog's) won't get stuck around the beater bar. BEST REASON!!
It has a lifhted crevice tool, and a really looooong hose to get all the steps.
I have to say that all the attachments will be a pain in my butt. I have about 20 vacuums in this house right now.

DH's aunt collected vacuums. But even just the accessories for the Kirby are a pain.
Regardless, I hate making these decisions alone. So, "honey"s, what do you think about a new vacuum? It's cheaper than a lot of vacuums out there!

Do any of the 20 work properly? Can you live with any that do?

My husband is bleaching my bathtub since I let the ducks swim in it for my daughter. I'm OCD and was about to have a panic attack over it, so he's deep cleaning my tub for me...


I <3 that man so much.... LOL

My kids had better appreciate what I let them do, even when it completely squicks me out.
