Hey @daxigait when you had to do your big depopulation from MS you were able to do a dip on your incubating eggs right? How old were the oldest ones that were already started incubating were you able to dip and save?

why, would one of the ayam cemani chicks have feathered legs.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

good question !

I will try and find the answer while you look also. Look at what breeds were used to cross that resulted in your breed. In the case of my Australorp breed there is one several generations back that had feathered legs, the feathers show up in about one in 100 of my birds

One of my Altsterier hens had a single row of feathers down the center of her legs. They have since fallen off however I will not be using her in future breeding. The next 12 chicks do not have that row of feathers thankfully.

did you see pensmaster answer? Here it is copied and pasted:

Just spent an hour and a half in a chat session with Microsoft, trying to resolve my ongoing inability to upload pictures sine their update last month. To make a long frustrating story short, after giving over control of my computer to a tech for an hour I still can't upload pictures, despite them assuring me that everything was now working properly.

No, I'm not burned up!     NOT MUCH, I AIN'T !!
:th Sorry.
@Saris Dipping the eggs was only for those not of the infected flock. It was also necessary to remove any eggs from the infected flock before they pip and clean the incubator. The chicks of the flock would have been carriers.
The water temperature is crucial. The eggs we did that were further along had a higher survival rate than those that were earlier. I was not there so I don't know how well she did on keeping the water temperature right at 100. What is going on?
