Limited registrations, and there can be legally bound contracts to force spay and neuter contracts, yes.

Limited you get the pup but if you breed it you can not get AKC registration for pups

I can see how that protects the breeder's hard work. Just surprised that it can legally be enforced.

Yep.... I don't know. I just know that if you breed animals, you eventually just have to make the choice not to get attached to the ones you aren't keeping.

They can't really enforce it the spay/neuter contract portion unless the breeder hires a lawyer, but they don't have to give full registration. They can't make it so the person doesn't breed the dog, but they won't be able to get papers for the offspring.
