How do you make your ducks like you once they go outside? Mine liked me in the brooder, but once I moved the older ones outside, they run from me again.

They wont' come to me for treats! They just hide and shake.treats
lock them in the crates outside for a week or so, so they get used to out side, whenever you go out bring a handful of peas (they are cheaper than worms, and have niacin) then after that let them out into a small area only when you are in said small enclosure, again always have treatsThey wont' come to me for treats! I have to put them away in the dog crate each night.
Edited to add : I need to buy 2-3 more large dog crates and move the other ducks out. It's been working well for housing to keep them safe... but the chickens raid the hay each morning!
So far, we use two people and just round them up. They seem to be okay once they are in it. I'm hoping that once they "learn" that's their spot, they'll be okay.lock them in the crates outside for a week or so, so they get used to out side, whenever you go out bring a handful of peas (they are cheaper than worms, and have niacin) then after that let them out into a small area only when you are in said small enclosure, again always have treats

I need to split the other ducks up into groups of 5, and put them in the crates outside for a week or so before I let them out. They won't take treats at all from my hands - where-as my two oldest ducks, would. They really like meal worms.
I'll have to look into peas. Frozen peas? fresh peas? what kind of peas?
