Silver is she walking on her hocks I guess? I would give her some time keep her taped up together, tape curled toes and give electrolytes and vits. I have not had luck with these, I always cull, but I sell chicks so its best in my situation. Good Luck with her![]()

Cry cry cry wail. I think I sprained my fingers!!. And what makes it worse is that I have basketball starting next week. My favorite sport of all time. And I might not be able to play. If I put my hand up and straiten out my fingers, they all go strait except my ring finger, which bends creepily low at the first knuckle....![]()
got it taped and it's moving a bit better, not sure if it's a him or her, roo/hen, if it don't recover I'll keep it seperate from the rest, it's one to the 2 from this hatch 6 still in the bator, it's a mix of RIR and BR shells are tuff, had Mama Freaking out when I went to tape it up though she was holding it when I took the head and put my shears close to it's neck![]()

No necropsy. Frankly, I'm not even supposed to have chickens w/o a permit, so I don't call attention to the fact that I do. This placed is zoned Agricultural, that's not the issue. It's just another way for the gov't, county or otherwise, to get into our pockets. Other than the original 7 I bought from Southern States, and the new rooster I brought in 8+ months ago from Jess, and quarantined for a month, mine is a closed flock. I don't sell chicks, and any cockerels that leave here are most likely headed for the table. My coops can't be seen from the road up front, and there are no roads at all beside or behind me. Since the trees have grown taller over the years, the only clue that there's even a house back here is the lane and mailbox 600+ feet away. On top of all that, the guy who owns the place next to me has more chickens than I do, right along the road, and I doubt he has a permit, either..
Sounds like she just didn't feel good. How old was she? Are you getting a necropsy?
If so, here's 2 labs for you.

On the canoe, did you use the website I gave you to ascertain a value?
