unfortunately, yes. I am assuming that he is young And that's pretty normal for a young rooster, they like to hear themselves. Any kind of light, maybe a security light or porch light that shines into their pen at night? That can make them Crow also.
He is 20 weeks old. I never heard him, until his hatch mate was killed a few weeks ago, maybe he is mourning.![]()
I do have a big light installed by the power company out there, but it has never been an issue before, and I'm not getting rid of that, it would be pitch black outside without that light.
He would not lived at my place even 5 minutes! I CAN'T STSND THAT! That way I don't have them
It's driving me a little crazy! He gets the goose going too, and then it's like a complete circus.
Perhaps he needs a hobby. I vote for knitting!![]()
You wanna come teach him?
I am okay. I can't remember the last time I had that much sleep.![]()
Duckling is not up yet. Poor thing was so tired, she cried for twenty minutes before falling asleep. I was holding her too.
Here's to a great day for all! (Clinking mugs)
Poor Duckling.... she probably needs more chocolate.
Had a silkie rooster doing that, all night every night...
Got the roosters in the other coops going.
Emphasis on had, other roosters and we sleep just fine now.
I am trying to figure out if I could get them back in their coop at night instead of roosting on top of it, if that would help, for him to be "inside" the coop as opposed to being perched on the top in the moonlight.
could be light or he could be trying to tell you that there is something out there
He's trying to tell me he wants to go live somewhere else.![]()

Nothing was out there but her. Stupid dogs were barking too. The cats were attacking...
The dogs were so wound up last night! What is that deal?![]()
Good morning Ronott Thanks for sharing.Yes, It was a friendly boy. Sadly, He was not accepted as an English major at UC Davis!I tried to make him feel better about it.
He then followed me off of campus, likely to drown his sorrows at Froggy's Pub!
Last I heard he was found wandering in Down town Davis by the Cops and then chased out of Town!
