EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

That reminds me! now that we have a new roof on the woodshed I want to hang the two work lights I have in each goat pen as well.  Adding to the to do list! thanks whites!

which lights work best in the cold?

Florescents, I'd think, since they don't generate much heat, if any. In extreme cold, a regular light could break when it first comes on, due to the vast temperature difference, I think. I once walked out of the house with a tobacco pipe going strong; it cracked pretty quick when it hit the cold winter air.

You can use LED, much better!

you picked the best month for Wyoming
I am still trying to get company for the Yellowstone part of the trip because it won't be very expensive. Most people I know can't afford the pack trip at $1500. Of course I can't normally either, but I have waited a long time. I would love to have rode the continental divide trip, but it is too expensive for me.

Still attached is good! I hope the swelling is going down, I take it still haven't seen a doctor.

Your trip sounds amazing!

how would you get a horse in shape for the trip? exercise? long ago I read of a guy that horse packed the Pacific Crest Trail.
I am not taking my horse. I am going to go with an outfitter in the Tetons. I don't have the experience or equipment for that trip.
