Plastic does a great job. Once while working for a rancher we had "free" lodging at his place. It was a tiny mobile home which when it was windy the blinds would raise about 6" from the sill. The wind usually never stoped there. Fun times.

I am thinking that a tarp would actually work well. I do have a new one sitting around here somewhere.

I like a landing net with a good-size hoop & deep net. I have a smaller one I'm using now; need the larger one.

This is the one I use and love it. 64" tall on the biggest birds it does pose a problem getting them out but I won't change it because of that.

I honestly cannot believe I still have Internet. It went out last night a few times. So far, it has not gone out today. That wind is brutal!
I seriously need to cover the windows with plastic. I can feel a breeze coming in from almost all of the windows.

Its nasty cold with that wind slicing. Do you cover them every year? I am so glad we replaced almost all the windows here, the big one in the livingroom is horrible and so cold, but that is gonna be costly
