EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

@MotorcycleChick Thanks for checking. I am fine just too busy. For the last nine days I had my friend's chores plus mine. I am also spending any free moment at work on my phone dealing with details for my big trip to the Tetons and Yellowstone next summer. Then today I worked fourteen hours. I will try to catch up soon. I hope you are well.

I have a big praise the Lord! After two months of looking I felt prompted to check Craigslist again yesterday and low and behold there was a hay buggy in Carthage which is just a town over instead of the closest I had seen at four hours away, and since the winch needs replaced it was half what I expected to pay :weee
I will do a red neck fix for now and use a come along ;)

@ChickenCanoe I truely am interested in one of your cockerels, but not this time of year. I have no good set up for winter quarantine, and no desire for extra chores in the cold. I hope you have a great trip to your brother's house.

Greetings to everyone else. I have to get the fire going since I don't have heat on, and grab something to eat before crashing. Back to work at 5:30 :( At least I have a job.

I love this - where did you find it?

- Ant Farm
I wish I could find the post again. I ordered a coffee cup from these folks that had a kitten looking down at a tiger. I should get it next week. They offered a discount if you bought 2 - I looked at their store, and never saw this - if I had, I would have bought it.

If I see another post on facebook, I'll grab the link - sorry!

That's a shame. I hate to butcher all those nice boys. I think I'll be butchering my second oldest rooster. I'm pretty sure he's throwing a couple chipmunks out of every 30 chicks.
If I do that, my 3 1/2 year old that came back to me this summer and an unrelated rooster will be my primaries and then I'll have to choose 3 more to keep from 7 others and then there's still 4 three month old cockerels.

This is the old boy when he was molting and in quarantine.

A bunch of young boys roosting together. There were 11 in there.

Here they are foraging together.

I have 4 left in that pen. They hatched 5-6 months ago.
