Just joined BYC tonight and have a candling questions. I just candled an egg at day 14 and didn't see any movement. How can I tell if I lost the chick? Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place still trying to figure out what I'm doing
Honestly I don't recall i saw so much movement last time I looked my heart sank when I saw none. Should I check or just leave it alone. My daughter is 6 and just joined 4H this year as a cloverbud so we have candled it about 5 times mostly so she can see what is going on. I have kind of gotten attached to the little guy

@jhooks80 I am sorry about your hatch.... I do have some info that could REALLY help you out with the next incubation, I also suggest the brinsea mini if you only wish to hatch a few at a time! We make all our bators out of coolers, really not hard at all and we started all this making the bators and incubating with our kiddo when she was six!! CoolerBATOR DIY click hereThanks guys, I'll keep you posted but I think we have a dud. I'll get a new incubator and collect some more eggs. Any small incubator recommendation would be greatly appreciated. I really want to hatch some of my girls eggs and now I'm determined to make it happen.
