If you get 3 or 4 then they bond to each other and not you, which makes a dog that doesn't listen very well.

I was kidding more than anything but I have 4 dogs and they all listened extremely well. They also think I'm going to kill them if they do anything wrong.

@Fire Ant Farm I hope it is a brief flare up, and you feel better soon. Thanks for the well wishes, lots of early wrecks due to freezing drizzle and bridges. It cleared up after a couple of hours. We are supposed to get more tomorrow afternoon and really cold temperatures through Monday.

I am tempted to put the dark egg on the left in the 'bator with the others - it's a 60g pullet egg. Just because it's pretty. Anyone try incubating marans eggs with regular eggs? How bad of an idea is it?

Work: production is up from 20/ month to 45/ month same crew
Family: Dad is 100 years old today and family is arriving from everywhere
Chickens: its raining cats and dogs and keeping them dry in the remaining hours has me beat.

@incubateme - I don't have enough experience to advise you, but other folks have posted good info. I use a separate hatcher, which makes everything easier... (I realize that's too late for this batch for you, just sayin')
