Shalom Bennie! What is wrong with it?
There are more details on the thread (Pullet starving poopy butt....), but here is the gist of it. Last week I clean her poopy butt, and gave her ivermectin paste. Twice this last weekend I found her by the big event instead of on the roost with a poopy butt again. Then Tuesday and Wednesday evenings I found her outside and not in the coop(hindsight possibly too weak to get up the ramp to the raised coop). When I put her in Wednesday night I got her some water. She drank and I left the extra waterer in the coop. She went back over to the vent after drinking and she took one odd step as she went. I noted it, but was unsure if she just stepped on something. Last night I found her laying on her side by the water. When I picked her up I found out that she is EXTREMELY thin. She did eat some of the eggs I made her, but not much. She is drinking a lot. I put save a chick probiotics and electrolytes in the water. She was on her side again this morning. I set her back upright and she drank more. I left her on the towels with the heated pad near her and a regular bulb in my heat lamp for light and heat as my house is 55-60 during the day and she is shut in a bathroom since I have two cats.
Something is really not right.
Of course this would be the best HRIR pullet I raised this year
Not that I want any of them sick but darn it why her
She is not even laying yet at nine months either so I can't save her genetics if she does not get well.Good morning everyone! Time to catch up.
