It's a great scope, but it's one of those "too good to be true".

DH's reasons not to buy:

• The seller created his/her account today.
• Seller has zero feedback.
• Florida seems to be the ebay ripoff state.
• The mfg part number shown on the ad does not appear to be valid, as in it doesn't show up on the AmScope site.
• $49 and free shipping? Again too good to be true.

If you have a disposable $50, maybe... buyer beware!

For that kind of money, I'd be leery of the quality of the optics. I think, though I'm not sure, that the optical quality depends on how the lense is ground.
If it is an AmScope as shown it should be fine.
