EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Another pip that I heard form the other room - this time a Marans egg!!! (It's the one that lost the least amount of weight - 13.7%). So maybe at least one will make it!!!!!

On to plan B. Whatever plan B is. I just don't want to deal with shipped eggs while learning to use my incubator. Our mail delivery here is pretty prehistoric in nature. I can just see the main post office letting a box slip through for us without recognizing it as hatching eggs and our mail delivery guy tossing it in the back of his jeep as he is use to delivering small packages to us. Then it would get tossed in our 'package' box and I'd find it and just make scrambled eggs out of the contents at that point.

About the 10,000 words, reminds me of the joke of the wife talking to her husband and saying, "I just heard on the radio that a woman averages 100,000 words spoken in a day while a man only says something like 10,000 words, why do you think that is?" and the husband looks up from his computer and says "What?"

blue oe marans hen think she lays the really dark greenish OE egg.

ADDING... I also have some Crele Orphington eggs being laid, HOWEVER there is an icelandic roo in there as well, but I doubt if that little guy presses his luck with the big bad crele roo... but what do I know. I know the big roo kicks the poor lil guys butt and the crele need a new coop uggggg

Ever wish a vacation was over before it started?? Ready to head to Bama and get back, got the itch to get the bator going now that the ladies are laying again, and we have somewhat got on a schedule with the twins. Our typical trip home turns out more stressful than not going due to the fact both parents are split and we spend majority of the trip driving back and forth from house to house trying to see everyone. Some call it cold but I somewhat detached myself from my family when I embarked on this journey 16 years ago today. Wife can't seem to do the same.
