- how old here? I love watching them feather out - mine are 2.5 wks old and are in that awkward feathers + down phase...

Well I dropped in the other day and haven't checked back so.... I'm going to pretend I read it. Well I caved in and bought some goosey eggs. Don't tell anyone it's a secret. Shhhhh!!!!

Gooserzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!!

Mutts/crosses are fun to guess at what they will look like with their feathering - so much fun to watch them grow. (And they tend to be vigorous and healthy, too.)

NN and all the rest are pretty much the same age is yours remember we set on the same day the 21st of December my first two hour on the 8th and then they continue through the 11th but the turkey hatched one week later!

I can't tell if that's NN or Nn....

That's right - I had forgotten. The boys in my group (almost all are boys) are growing and feathering out quite fast, and look a little ahead of yours, but their daddy was astonishingly ahead of all his fellow chicks as well (which is why I kept him). I have one girl - she looks a little more at the stage of yours.

It looks to me like you have a Nn there. (Here's my single NN from the most recent hatch, just a day old or so - there should be almost nothing there):
