Today's interesting CSPAN3 discussion is on infrastructure.
Cindy Bobbitt, the Grant County, Oklahoma commissioner is speaking. She is the president of the US county commissioners association.
She's testifying about the need to upgrade roads and bridges.
The hearing is about infrastructure funding and modernization.
Anthony Pratt, administrator of the Delaware Dept. of Natural Resources spoke to the fact that for every $1 spent by the Federal Govt. on beaches and wetlands, $570 is returned to the Fed coffers.

CSPAN is rapidly becoming my go to source for news given the partisan approach of national news channels.

I have talked to the head Vet for the state NPIP program..

I am getting the tests done I need to ship the states I could not ship to before!!
wee.gif

I have been trained in doing the tests by USDA vet so I can do them myself and send in the samples needed.

Minnesota NPIP does not require AI testing. Many states include it in their requirements. It is optional as of 2017 in Mn, So I am going to get the testing done in the next couple weeks..

Then I think I will be able to sent them anywhere in 2-3 weeks!! I be so happy!!!

My hatch is going so-so.

I have :
2 toads out
4 Polish out
2 Dominiques out
2 Yokies
2 CLegbars.

I have a few more pipped, but my humidity is low today, 60-65 % closer to 60%..

I have come up with a plan to remedy that. I am going to drill a hole in the top of the hatcher right above the sponge/water pan using a plug to close it when I am not adding water. Then I can add extra water to the pan as needed!

No need to tell me how amazing I am to think of this, I already know I am almost as amazing as Chaos....

As I understood it, injectables were not on the list? Of course stuff like Baytril 100 is Rx, but it always has been. I think one can still get LA200, LA300, injectable DiMethox, and injectable neomycin for piglets?

This is from the link you posted:

You are correct.  For most people this would not bother.  Those of us that doctor lots of animals with specialty items, yes it is a bunch of red tape.

Be glad you aren't in CA... I heard rumor that *all* antibiotics in CA will require a prescription come 1-1-2018. :(

The logic after all this is that the extensive use of antibiotics in agricultural animals is rapidly selecting the resistant microbes from the overall population causing a HUGE problem to treat afectivly PEOPLE, and when hunan and animals health are on the scale, human will always be prioritise!
