No I am saving up for Jubilee Orpingtons and maybe even blue Jubilee Orpingtons.
There is a source about 5 hours away and they sell chicks for $20 for jubilee and $25 for blue Jubilee.

Not bad.
Nope the only bad part is the distance but they do ship so I have to check in to see how much that is.

5hrs one way or both ways?
You can send them to Banti I heard she decided not to wait till June and wants them now.
Are they under a heat lamp with light? That's an advantage of a heat plate or MHP - at dark they "go to bed" in the warm place and stay there. I just check that they're in the right spot when it starts to get dark (vs. huddled together away from the MHP), and once under MHP they don't generally walk around again in the dark. But there's always something - they manage to get themselves in trouble sometimes no matter what you. do.

I dunno, I don't count themyour welcome how many chickens do u got
One way.
Quote: I guess what I meant is that I found that when it's dark, they stay where I put them. When there's light (even a little), they start wandering around again sometimes.
