.

52 eggs, 2 leakers, one of which is also crushed at one end

and yes, there was nothing in the 4" section
ughhhhhh

i wonder if it works on marans as well
why would you want to do that with those? you should be able to candle them, I always could??? As far as marans, no matter how dark you can see the air cell after day 7 so if they dont stink and you keep an eye on the air cell you can hatch them without going to extremes, if they dont stink they dont have an issue yes?

I lost my first girl today, Skye. She got out of the run somehow and my Doberman got her. I am heartbroken and feel so horribly guilty. She was 19 weeks old this week. She died on the way to the vets office.

I don't blame my dog- his prey drive is extremely high and it is instinctual. Still sucks...
I'm sorry

Hi CH what up? fish bitin?

Once upon a time (I was falling in love, but now I'm only falling apart) there was a dog that wasn't getting proper grooming. The matted fur was fixed easily enough. The nails were not so easy. They could either by cut all the way down while under anesthesia at the vet (and pain pills for a few days after), or cut as often as possible at home.
Well... I have not been cutting often enough, and I really need to know. Just how often CAN I cut the nails? Is weekly too much?
@Sally Sunshine
@MotorcycleChick

I just had this conversation with a pup parent lol. YES every 7-10 days to help the "quick" recede!

After trimming that little bit of nail you can, within seven days, the quick should have receded enough to allow you to trim off another little bit of nail again and continue the process until the nails are back to a decent length and dont tip tap on the floor, basically they shouldn't touch the floor. SO FREQUENT but GRADUAL and you can get their neat tidy nails back! If you file it you can do it more often.

Duck people how do you keep your ducklings area clean? My mom wanted ducks so bad that my dad bought 7 ducklings at TSC the other night and I am taking care of them for her but these things are messy!

It's absolutely pouring outside. This is what came down last night not including the downpour we are getting right now. The new dam on the pond didn't hold. I've rebuilt it but it's probably going to go again. Will need concrete bags lined up in it to hold I'm afraid.

ugh like it was here yesterday, first time I seen the entire back yard under water too. I am sorry about the dam that is alot of work

Sand as bedding, sift daily, and use a cookie grate jigger and a plastic tote to make a place to put water and food. Instructions are in the ducks link in Sally's signature.

I have an overflow built in. Problem was, the grate that covered it to keep fish from going out. Yea it plugged up so water went over dam. Washed it out by 6 inches. All back together without grate covering overflow. :fl the water fall it caused sounded cool though.

The rain is just letting up. The real storm with wind isn't due until tonight. We are supposed to be like this for another 7 days. We will certainly reach the record set back in the 1880's at this rate.
