good news, If my chick is a roo, my friends (who live in a rooster keeping area) will take him! then I can still see it whenever i want!

Looks good! The main thing is to keep an eye on it and keep checking it - it'll be easy for you compared to when I was trying to manage 71 chicks. The BAD thing that can happen is it can slip above the hock and constrict there. Other than that, you'll see it and see when it gets snug and is ready to change.

OK, morning chores done, took weights of Puppy's babies (which are NOT little any more) - they hate being weighed in that bucket! Now heading out to Home Depot with my trailer to go get more building materials...
