I prefer finding them like this, drowned in the water pan:

Thanks, MC! If you don't mind, I'm going to borrow some of meltel's drugs.

Yup! I'll be at home doing chores and building stuff, so text me and we can meet wherever. Cool!!!

It would by necessity be cutters that don't ratchet for this purpose... But yeah, there are a whole lot of mixed reviews for them out there.

Yup - Remember the Alamo, and all that... (Which is celebrated with a giant parade and a lot of partying and drinking. I'LL be staying HOME, thankyouverymuch.)

Bear update?

I haven't been getting any of my tags. What's up - can you give me the link to the post?

3/4" EMT conduit, bent with a conduit bender. That's on my to do list today/tomorrow - I still have about 15 of these to bend.

PVC is actually more expensive by a little bit, and you don't get the strength and stiffness. Bending is easy once you learn, and then you can suddenly build durable greenhouses and shadow structures, etc., for yourself easily and cheaply.

I woke up with severe, severe wrist and hand pain this morning. Impossible to stay in bed, walked around for about half an hour cursing and shaking my hand arm and trying to will it to resolve (doing that helps when I wake up like this). Scared the cats, I think. Couldn't make tea at first because my hands didn't work (coffee being out of the question), and finally was able to machine the way I imagine someone with frostbite might make tea. Have been drinking tea and reading BYC and watching the clock, willing it to go away so I can go tend the chicks with full use of my hand. Getting better now (though typing is slow). I'm feeling so grateful - I am teaching all day today, which means that like it or not I won't be at home with the power tools and construction (and so will have a forced rest), and I also won't be at my desk typing (also not good).

FYI - my pig taught my silkies to cool off in the wading pool - so I saw 3 of my roosters "dust bathing" in the pool. It was pretty funny.

I generally don't - I assume they will eat them or, worse, use them as bait for cock fighting. Benny, I saw a photographic exhibition on Minamata disease at a museum when I was in high school. It's not something one easily forgets, burned into my brain - especially the photo of the mother bathing her child (under spoiler below). This is what happens when people think pollution regulations are dumb. Lots of children were never seat belted in cars years ago (including me) and survived. Doesn't mean I'm going to suggest people not seat belt their children. So I personally do not think the regulations are unnecessary.

Invest in a quality privacy screen - works like a charm! :clap :love So early!!!!! Mine are about that size as well, but not red. This is my first year with apples - have you ever tried bagging them? Awesome!!! (I will congratulate you from afar - I'm terrified of horses due to a childhood accident.) Just a conduit bender. About $45 - a very nice tool to have. There are good YouTube videos on how to use it. Got some assembly done today, but there's never enough time. Full day of work tomorrow, so no luck there, but I have Friday off for the Battle of Flowers, so I'll hopefully get more done then. - Ant Farm
It's two months early, they usually come in mid July but this one fell off the tree so I ate it. :p I planted mine four years ago, (I think they're probably about 7 or 8 years old though) I got the first harvest last year, beautiful big juicy tasty apples. :drool I have not.
hmmmm I will skip saying SHOW OFF and head to..... Either that thing is small or your the jolly green giant! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!! who would pay that for rabbit!!!!!
:gig It's both. My hands are huge and that apple is small. Well why else would I be raising meat rabbits??

Good morning to you too Abi. We need a good Duckling antic today ;)

400

Not typically one for tantrums, Duckling was beside herself when I dared give her a pink cup. She wanted the purple one that had been sitting in the living room overnight. With milk in it. I had to wash it (I couldn't just get a clean purple one), and pour her milk into it.
Twenty minutes later, she broke down again. She wanted me to switch to the cup I'd offered originally.

I can appreciate that. I'm fortunate in that DW is the only one I'm particularly concerned about being able to reach me; anyone else can wait or leave a message. If I think about it, and going to be doing something in one place for a while, I try to carry it with me, but there are times when I just flat out don't want to hear a freaking phone sounding off; had enough of that when I was working.
