Awwwwww!

Like the Legos. Is that so your stuff sits at the same height as the top of the eggs?
Yes.

 Confused...anyway. Sorry, it's been a rough night.

:love:love:love I didn't know you still had that incubator of yours, seems to work well!
That's a rebuild, my first hatch in it, actually.

Well, terrible terrible night last night. Maximus (Maxy--the Joey) passed on. He really was just a carcass.....no fat on him so it was extra hard to keep him warm, and that lead to his death. I tried so hard with him and was feeding him every 3 hours morning and night, he was so small. Poor bub.

:hugs Hope you will start feeling better soon, and about the Joey pics-----i would have loved to. :(

Now, that pic desevres to be in a caption contest! She is adorable.
Oh, I am so sorry - but I can understand why it'd be so hard to keep him alive. :(:hugs

If you have other baby joey pics in the future, we'd love to see! (Or at least I would.)

Puppy is a little stinker, that's for sure. Here's the caption that goes along with that face and why she's in the hospital wing (she was chastised by the CL's rooster):

Cracked off a piece. He busted right out, and his belly is perfect. :ya

You should go look at the Old Fashioned Broody thread I linked earlier. Many folks recommend moving them at night.

Do I need to tell you to stop candling, young lady?!

Joyous, joyous day here. As always, the day after culling a lot of extra cockerels is always so peaceful in the chicken yard. Everyone has fresh water in scrubbed waterers (I have hard water, and it leaves a build up), and all feeders refilled. It's only up to 88F today, so everyone thinks it's delightful in comparison to the day before. And best of all, all the laying hens got the organs left over from culling as treats. There's nothing quite like watching otherwise sedate grown up chickens playing keep away with chicken hearts. :lau

Puppy was a little piggy, as always. She was out of the coop, so I hand fed her some, then when I put the pan into the coop, she jumped back in to have more.

Time to start in on the chicken stock.

And way you don't eat the hearts?
