Supposed to get to 30 or so today. (That's 86 Fahrenheit) for those of the Fahrenheit persuasion.

Anyone tried making an old dishwasher into an incubator? I just got a new dishwasher, and the old one still has a working heating element that I thought might be perfect for an incubator.

Anyone tried making an old dishwasher into an incubator? I just got a new dishwasher, and the old one still has a working heating element that I thought might be perfect for an incubator.

I've considered...ok, still considering that. Except without the heater element. If we're thinking about it...it MUST be a possibility.

I would bet it would work if you put a spyder type thermostat on it and added a fan. You would need a thermostat that limits the power to the heating element. So a cheap one would not work, as it would be either all on or all off and you would get temp swings.
