EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Will height be an issue and if so can you do this cross by AI

I have NO idea but I'm determined to make it work lol. I'm sure I'll be in here computer about the difficulties and celebrating the triumphs :) I guess it will really depend on the final size of the Shamo and off they're been enough to handle my CX roo.

Got my 4wheeler back in operation.....busted wire in the harness under a front fender. They said it was corroded, so my guess is it was mostly gone & barely holding on, & rough terrain finally finished the job. It was the wire supplying power to the switch, so I was on the right track in suspecting the switch. They had the whole front end off; showed me pictures. $183.75 later....

Glad you got it fixed. The bill stinks but at least it's up and running again. I can't wait to get ours running again. We've come to the conclusion that it needs a new carborator so we'll be ordering it sometime today. Hopefully, that solves the problem.

I've got a chick!

I'm looking forward to the news and chicks. I've been thinking of getting some Shamo but as I understand it they don't lay many eggs. So if someone is selling eggs on eBay and they have quite a few I'm leery about the freshness.

Way you want them? They are poor layer as all the Asil liniag, but they are extremely aggressive to other roosters, and they will kill them in any opportunity. Are you sure of this?

To preserve a rare branch of genetics? To have something cool in your coop?

I've considered getting some, but I decided I liked other breeds better. ,

If you have them they can't be with any other rooster, if you have the place go for it. They are excellent mothers.
I prefer other breeds too.

Yeah! And one pip and several internals. :fl

This chick was fast!!! It externally pipped about 3:00pm yesterday afternoon and was out when I looked in at 7:00am today. :th
I really like the no drama chicks.

These are some of the reasons I haven't pursued them. However they are cool looking birds
