That's about the size of it. Sally left & half the residents followed her, from the looks of things

My chickens are in my yard all day long. They even go inside the coop to eat. At night, they are nowhere to be found! I am lucky if I find three eggs, because lately it's only been one. I should get six or eight.

Came time to put everyone up last night & they were all in the coop already; all but one.
The smallest one of the bunch, & one of the two oldest, was still out, wandering around like she was lost. She'd get halfway through the gate & change her mind. Getting behind her & herding her wasn't working; she'd just go around to the back of the run where I'd have to go around, or she go back into the heavy cover on the other side of the line fence. The coop has a door on either end; the rear one has welded wire over it in warm weather for ventilation. She even tried to fly through there a couple times. Finally, after half an hour of frustration on my part, she finally went in, hopped up onto the ramp, & went in to roost, just like she had good sense. I came real close to shutting both gates & letting her fend for herself overnight. STUPID CHICKENS! Ain't got the sense God gave a grape!
